Kgalagadi Eco Holiday Trail
7 Night ( plus 1 bonus night ) breakaway, no cell reception, African bush sounds and starry nights. An easy pace with short driving days. Just chill…….If that is on your list of things to do for 2020, this tour is for you.
So COVID has also affected our Botswana section of the tour. I have worked the two Botswana nights in to the tour and added a Nossob night. If you ever wondered what the whole Kgalagadi thing was about, don’t miss this one.
2×4 also welcome
So if you are looking for something about a week long, balance of bush and glamping, eco solitude, and soul rejuvenating? This is it. Don’t delay because it is exclusive and I can only take 10 guests.
We arrive at our first night stop on the way to Kgalagadi. We meet in Uppington.
Day 2, Orange
After breakfast and our last bit of shopping we set off to Kgalagadi. After the paperwork at Twee Rivieren we head up towards Mata Mata for the night.
An enjoyable game viewing afternoon rounded off with a pleasant night at Mata Mata.
Day 3, Green
We head over to Nossob on a short days drive with a bit of game viewing peppered in for fun. We sleep in the legendary Nossob camp for three nights.
Day 4, Yellow
I travel to Unions end for the day. Game viewing, coffee stops, lunch and the works. I will tell you the history of the park.
Day 5, Light blue
After breakfast we head north again, this time we stop at Polentswa. Bring your skottel and bubly and we will have a nice brunch.
Back in camp in the early afternoon and have the afternoon off for a bit of R&R.
Day 6, Red
Another relaxed game viewing day, and we drive down to Twee Rivieren. This road has been very fruitful in the past and we take the day to properly do the route.
Day 7, Dark Blue
We head back north again and do the Leeudril 4×4 route. then on to the Mata Mata road.
We stop at the Aukolonie house and I share the History of the park and the area with you.
Then back across the dunes to Nossob. One can never spend too many nights here. It is special.
Day 8, ( Bonus night )
We make our way south to exit the park but as a bonus I will treat you to another night and we sleep at Twee Rivieren. If you want to head straight back you are welcome to otherwise we head out of the park in the morning.
If you stayed with me at Twee Rivieren, we head out of the park at first light.
